Dr. Heidi Levine

heidi_levine_webDr. Heidi Levine is the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. She received her BA in psychology at Northern Illinois University, her MS in Student Personnel Services from the Pennsylvania State University, and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Previous positions included director of Student Health and Counseling at the State University of New York College, Associate Director of the Center for Counseling and Student Development (Radford University), and Director of Counseling Services and New Student Orientation (Cabrini College). She has served as the President of the American College Personnel Association and of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of the New River Valley (Virginia) and has been a member of the State University of New York Chancellor’s Personal Safety Task Force, Alcohol & Violence Committee and the American College Health Association Mental Health Standards Task Force. Heidi has authored or co-authored articles and book chapters addressing the impacts of campus suicide and on personality and health behavior. She has presented widely on topics including emergency preparedness and response, student privacy rights, dealing with disruptive student behavior, and multicultural competence, including being an invited participant with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration Suicide Prevention Dialogue Meeting.
